The process

This weekend I came up with a new quilt design and I got inspired to sew…

I picked out the fabrics.

Got a really good start on it… loads of cutting and started getting there with the piecing.

It was looking really pretty.

My kid was super impressed.

And then…just as I was getting in my groove…

Yeah. No, that blue line doesn’t line up at all. Sigh. Seam ripper time… It’s all part of the process, right??

Tomorrow I’m headed to Quilt Market for the weekend. My first quick get away since having the baby. It’s gonna be loads of fun!

    Lovely design!

Have to say if I was your kid and you were coordinating your new quilt to my t-shirt I’d be super-impressed too! 🙂

Your quilts inspire me… I’m working on a modern design to make for my son. He wants anything that does not look like “patchwork” but I think he means “traditional”!

How maddening! Love the design. Good to know this kind of thing happens to you too! Is it a compounded error from the left? It’s going to be stunning!

Ugh, such a drag, but like you said– part of the process sometimes. Great design though. Enjoy your Quilt Market getaway!!

I was at spring market in Kansas City and loved every moment of it. I’m sure you will too! Are you going with or without the baby? Have a wonderful and productive time. Wish I was going to be there too.
