The news in my world…

…is that I’m pregnant!! Needless to say, we’re very excited over here. Though it’s been a rough couple of months. Boy did that “morning” (WTF with that term?!? it’s all. freakin’. day. long.) sickness knock me out. I completely lost my sewing mojo and it has been getting me down.

But things are getting better now! I’ve been feeling better and have actually been able to get myself into the sewing room a bit more. We still have to wait about a month to know if it’s a boy or a girl and then the baby sewing is certain to start in full force!

And because I can’t post with no photo at all… Here’s a couple of ornaments I recently sewed up for an LAMQG swap.

Happy holidays to each and every one of you!!

Congratulations! I was incredibly sick with my daughter for 21 weeks – but once that passed I felt wonderful! I enjoyed every moment thereafter – you soon forget once the baby arrives. It truly is the most wonderful experience & one to cherish – I missed sewing time but it comes back…until as I’m finding baby #2 comes along & you miss the sewing machine again :-)

    Enjoy your pregnancy & congratulations!

Congratulations! How exciting! It’s so hard waiting those weeks before you can find out the sex. My lifesaver when I have had morning sickness is ginger ale and having a Luna bar with me at all times for those oh-could-pass-out-right-now moments! Hope you get over the sickness hump soon and enjoy the second and third trimesters!

Congratulations! That is wonderful news, indeed! We need more future quilters brought into the world! :). Glad you are starting to feel better…doesn’t it seem unfair that the sickness is usually in the first trimester when you don’t really want to announce WHY that person’s lunch, etc., is making you want to hurl!?! I’m not looking forward to that part of the process!

Congratulations Alissa, that’s wonderful news! I just wanted to add a big thank you for inspiring me through your blog this year. I don’t comment often, but love to read your posts. I’m wondering whether there is a UKMQG for quilters in the United Kingdom (I’m in England) and if there isn’t, whether I should look into establishing it!
