The Nice Baby Quilt is all finished.  So simple. It was perfect for needing to sew up a quick gift for friends.

I used lots of linen and Kona Ash which are very close in value. They really make the greens, yellows and bit of pink pop out of the blocks.

I used up my last bit of this Castle Peeps pink stripe with the binding and it was just a bit too short so I added some solid pink to make it long enough.

That photo isn’t so great but you can see the design… Here’s one with colors that are truer…

Girly Baby Quilt

It’s been so long since I’ve finished a quilt. This little one makes me happy!

The back with a bit more of the amazing Far, Far Away… so cute!

Girly Baby Quilt Back

I usually go with a solid binding, but I occasionally like a small scale print one… I think this one came out well!

Happy Monday everyone!  For me, this is the last week on my job… I will miss the paychecks but I can’t wait for all of the soon to arrive sewing time!

and 3 more of this pattern to go. Hope you don’t get sick of seeing the same quilt, with different fabrics over and over… Some are for friends and some to sell!

These two are both now in the shop.

I hadn’t worked with strictly yellow and pink before… I kinda love it. I’m thinking I need to start exploring yellow more in general!

I worked with 50% Bamboo batting for the first time with these and I have to say, I love it! The drape is really lovely.

My usual pieced backs:

Next I’m gonna try to get a couple of gender neutral ones all done. Hope that you all have wonderful weekends!!

All done with these coin quilts that I made simultaneously.  I enjoyed making them at the same time.  Since they are this small (34″ x 46″) it didn’t feel like it took too long.

Two Baby Coin Quilts

I really love so many of the fun fabrics in these!

I didn’t intend to do different backs, but after mistakenly I sewed the strip of patterned fabric upside down on the girl quilt, I thought, why not?!?

And some simple solid bindings. I have found that I really love solid bindings as a nice simple frame to the louder coin strips.

Up next, two more baby quilts, also made at the same time!
