A problem.

I have a fabric problem. I’m completely addicted. And you know the addiction runs very deep when you’re on a buying ban, and you still manage to get a fix!

Exibit A:

Fabric Score!

A good friend of mine was helping someone move who needed to get rid of two big garbage bags of fabric. Umm.. yes please!! And this was only some it!

Exibit B:

Pretty Fabric

Cate, my sister, wanted to buy me a gift for doing a lot of sewing for her new house… There’s only one thing I want. More fabric!

I mean these Alexander Henry birdies?!? C’mon!

Birdie

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I’m going to be relishing my time this in the days to come as it looks like I may have (finally) lined up some work and will soon have much less time to sew. Working freelance is great in that it allows for full time sewing spurts, but it can be baaaad for the piggy bank. And working means being able to buy more fabric… why does it always come back to fabric??

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

I look at those gorgeous pictures with bookcases overflowing of stash fabrics and drool – you know the ones. Fortunately, I have a smallish space (and I’m really cheap to boot) so I am managing my own fabric addiction addequately for now. We’ll see how long that holds. :) Congrats on the upcoming work.

I recently came across your blog and I am in love with your work! I love the colors and designs of your quilts.

Plus……I am also a fabric addict! When I want to start a project, I just can’t use the fabric in my stash because I may need it later on for another more imporatant project! I love to look at fabric and touch it! See my problem….

How lucky for your to come across all of those beautiful fabrics!I love the birdie fabric and those elephants are adorable! I also love the cars because I could use some of that to make a quilt for my friend’s little boy. Does the selvage have name on it? Oh no, that is the fabric addict in me coming out again!

Thanks again from another fabric addict!

I occasionally sort through my stash and donate a bag at a time to a friend who sews for charity…I mean she sews A LOT for A LOT of charities!!! Then I don’t feel bad about replenishing my stash. LOVE Alexander Henry anything and must have some of the birdies…soon.

Of course it always comes back to fabric for us fabric addicts! ;) (Iestyn told me to check out your blog – you’ve made some beautiful quilts!) I just got those AH birdies in the white colorway – I think I need some of the blues ones, too, though….
